At its base, the therapeutic platform is a space to explore who you are in the present moment, what you are grappling with, and the ways in which you can face it.
To this end, a process unfolds between therapist and client that supports trust, openness, and vulnerability; this is the ‘field’ where transformation can emerge. My therapeutic goal in this context is to listen, attend to your thoughts and feelings, and provide accompaniment on your journey toward insight, meaning, courage, and hope. In other words, the elements of life that sustain us in the face of change and challenge.

I support individuals navigating grief, loss, bereavement, existential crises, depression, and addiction.
In the vein of “mind, body, and spirit,” I also incorporate insights from various spiritual and mystical teachings. I offer guidance in mindfulness, breathing exercises, movement, mantra, ritual, journaling, and self-awareness. I am trauma informed, and my skill-set includes CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing. The basis of our sessions, however, is “talk therapy”.
I am a Registered Counseling Therapist (c) with the Nova Scotia College of Counseling Therapists with education and training in both Theology and Psychotherapy at the master’s level. Within my professional role for Mental Health and Addictions (2016 onward), I gained substantial clinical experience at the Nova Scotia, Abbie J. Lane, and East Coast Forensic Hospitals. Previously, I worked specifically in the field of grief and bereavement at the IWK Children’s hospital. I am a certified Spiritual Care Practitioner and a certified Psychospiritual Therapist with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care, and a certified Yoga instructor (500hr) with the Himalayan Institute. I have studied asana, pranayama, and meditation in Canada, the US, and India.
Accepting Clients
I am a writer of poetry and short stories, my first and abiding love.
I am a person who has struggled with lifelong chronic physical issues—a ‘learning’ I take with me into each and every session—not as credential, but as shared woundedness.
